The McCleery girls putting on a play, 1898

Three McCleery girls, Dora, Agnes Mary (Nannie) and Greta, are in costume, practicing a play in the parlour of the big house. The girls did many chores on the farm, but mostly in the house or the dairy. They used their spare time to write and perform plays as well as to take photographs that they processed themselves.
