Boston House, Wednesday 9 February 1916
Alley west of Carrall and north of Hastings. The sign for Boston House was already a ghost sign in 1916. It’s long gone now, but at the end of the alley, another sign for Boston House is still there and is one of the oldest ghost signs in town, if not the oldest. Boston House was a rooming house run by Mary Logan in 1899 for milliners (ladies hat makers) like herself.
