Vancouver Amazons, 1922
The Vancouver Amazons were based out of the Denman Arena in the West End, where women’s hockey was especially popular because a lot of single working women lived in that neighbourhood. After beating the Calgary Regents in Banff in 1922, the Amazons won the Alpine Cup, making them the women’s hockey champions of Western Canada.
