BC License Plate, 1910
From 1904 to 1912, displaying license numbers on motor vehicles was required in BC, but license plates were not standardized and the letters “BC” were optional. License numbers were issued sequentially and leather was often used as the base of the plates, as in this example. Government issued plates were not produced or required until 1913.
