Janet Smith, Saturday 26 July 1924
Police crime scene sketch from the Janet Smith case. Smith was a nursemaid murdered at 3851 Osler Avenue in Shaughnessy Heights, the home of her employer, an international drug smuggler named FL Baker. The murder was never solved and was one of the most sensational and bizarre news stories that made front page headlines for years.
