Imperial Palace, Kanadian Knights of the Ku Klux Klan, 1925
Built in 1907, the Glen Brae Manor in Shaughnessy Heights was briefly the headquarters of the KKK in 1925. By the 1930s, people were referring to the lavish mansion as the “Mae West.” Since 1995, it has been Canuck’s Place, a children’s hospice.
