Waiting for Lefty, 1936
Guy Glover and other cast members in the Vancouver Progressive Arts Club entry in the 1936 Dominion Drama Festival. With a cast drawn mostly from the unemployed, this was Vancouver’s introduction to agit prop theatre, or the workers’ theatre movement, and it made a big splash here and across the country.
